Adding Activities

Activities are the most important component of a Recollective Study, as they represent the key source of data collection from participants.

An Activity is a collection of related questions or exercises called Tasks. Think of an Activity as a mini-survey, and its Tasks are the individual questions within that survey. Activities can be completed by participants in real-time (synchronous) or over many hours and many days (asynchronous).

To add a new Activity to a Study, you must be logged in as an Analyst or Moderator. Navigate to the Activities tab and click on the Add Activity card.

You can also save time by copying Activities from the same Study or from another Study on the same site.

Name the Activity and press the Add button. You will then be asked if you would like a Standard, Journal, Live Group Chat (Focus Group) or Live Video Interview (IDI) Activity type.

You can also customize the look of your Activity cards by selecting from our library of icons, photos or uploading your own image and editing the display. These latter two options can be done by accessing the Activity card's drop-down menu and using the Select Image option. You can also drag and drop your image file directly onto the Activity card.
