Limiting Activity Access

Each Activity in a Recollective study can have unique visibility and response sharing settings defined via the Activity Access and Activity Behavior options. During Activity Setup, admins can independently control which participants are permitted to see and complete the Activity, as well as who is able view the activity responses once complete. If desired, admins will also be able to control Client Access to the activity as well.

Activity Access

The default for a new Activity in terms of its accessibility (i.e.visibility) is All participants and All Administrators

Limiting Access to Select Participants

You can restrict the access of an Activity to one or more Segments of participants using the ‘Only select segments’ option. From here, you can select from the list of existing Segments, or alternatively, add new Segments on-the-go by utilizing the menu’s ‘Add’ option. Analysts will also have the ability to Manage these Segments at the site-level as needed. The Activity will be accessible to participants who match ANY of the Selected Segments.

If you choose to restrict Activity Access, you must select at least one Segment from the drop-down list; otherwise, the Activity will remain unseen by all participants. Similarly, ensure any Segment(s) you select have one or more people in them.

Limiting Access to Select Clients

Below the Select Segments option are a series of Client Access controls. You can choose to limit the visibility of the Activity to Only select Clients, or Hide from Clients entirely if desired.

This setting is beneficial when there is a particular Activity that your Clients should not have access to, such as an Activity where you need to collect personally identifiable information.
