Points Report

The Points Report is accessible via the Reports area of the Study Admin menu. This report will provide you with a breakdown of the number of Points that participants have acquired within a Study, how these points were earned, and the various levels achieved by participants (if you have these enabled).

This report is particularly useful in long-term communities, as Point levels can be used to identify highly engaged participants. In addition, the point levels can be used as cut-offs for tiered incentive payouts allowing you to provide greater rewards to individuals who contributed the most to the community.

Charts and Data Tables

The Points Report is unique to other report types as it will produce two charts. If you've configured levels as part of your Points setup, the first chart shown will be a breakdown of level attainment across the community. Each of your levels are elements that can be included or excluded by clicking on them in the accompanying chart legend. You can also choose from a pie chart, horizontal or vertical bar chart for exporting.

The main chart in the report is based on point accumulation across participants. If levels have been configured, they'll appear as red lines vertically stationed at the relevant point total. Each of the different Study aspects or categories that points can be attributed from (i.e. ResponsesActivity FeedbackDiscussionsMessages and General), appear as dynamic elements in the legend below the chart. These elements can be included or excluded in the chart simply by clicking on them.

The report will also produce a data table that summarizes the point attribution totals across the relevant categories (i.e. ResponsesActivity FeedbackDiscussionsMessages and General), level, total points, etc. which can also be exported as seen here:

Preparing Your Report

Each report in Recollective can be customized based on a range of fields as seen below. These controls allow you to produce everything from overall reports that cover all individuals and include all actions to more focused reports that target specific actions, dates or participants.

Actions

You'll be able to filter the Points Report based on how the points were awarded to participants. For example, you could filter the Points Report by Activities (or a specific action that falls under the Activities category) to only see points awarded therein.

Date Range

This section allows you to determine the date range the report covers. In most cases, you'll typically extract all of the associated data using the All Time default but you can also customize a specific date range or use one of the standard ranges offered.

Participants

This area controls which participant responses are actually included within your report. While most users will create a report that includes All Participants, you may find yourself needing to generate a report for Select Participants or even Select Segments. To do this, simply select one of the three options that suit your specific reporting requirements.

Participant Identities

This series of options will allow you to determine how participants will be identified in the report. This ranges from including the participant's Full name, to more limited options such as Username only or Unique ID only

Participant privacy is an incredibly important aspect of the platform. For best practices, we highly recommend the use of extraction options that involve limiting the amount of personally identifiable information being downloaded in physical files to be shared.
