How to Define Which Studies a Segment Is Shown In

Use this article to learn how to define and limit the Study Visibility of panelist segments across multiple Studies on your Recollective Site.

Who can define which studies a segment is shown in?

If you conduct more than one Study on your Site, certain panelist segments may only be relevant to specific Studies. Analysts can control segment exposure by updating the Segment Visibility settings in Site Administration.

How to Limit or Update Segment Study Visibility

Analysts can update the visibility for one or more Segments by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Site Administration > Panelists > Segments

  2. Select the Segment(s) you would like to update using the checkboxes to the left of each Segment name

  3. Select Update Visibility from the bulk action modal to open the Update Visibility side panel

  4. (Optional) Expand the Selected Segments section to review and edit your chosen Segments

  5. Under the Segment Visibility section, select the desired visibility option:

    • All studies

    • No studies

    • Also show in…

    • Only show in…

    • Hide from…

  6. If you select Also show in…, Only show in…, or Hide from…, use the checkboxes to the left of each Study name to select the desired Studies

  7. Click Next

  8. Review your selections and click Apply Update

Once you have completed these steps, the updated visibility rules will take effect immediately for the selected segments across the specified studies.
