How to Add a Video Clip to a Video Playlist

Analysts and Moderators can use this guide to highlight text excerpts from video transcripts and save them to a new or existing Video Playlist in Recollective.

Prerequisites & Permissions

  • Roles: Analysts and Moderators.

  • Requirements: A completed video response with a generated transcript in a Recollective study.

Overview & Purpose

A Video Playlist is a collection of excerpted video clips. Analysts and Moderators can use Video Playlists in Recollective to quickly assemble a highlight reel of participant quotes that demonstrate key study insights.

Steps to Excerpt Video Clips and Add Them to a Playlist

  1. In Recollective, open your study and navigate to the specific participant video response containing the clip you wish to save.

  2. In the video Transcript pane, highlight the desired text corresponding to the quote you want to clip.

  3. Select Save Excerpt. A side panel will open on the left side of the screen.

  4. In the Add to Playlist dropdown menu, perform one of the following actions:

    • Select an existing playlist from the list to add the video clip.

    • Select New to create and name a new Video Playlist.

  5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for each additional video clip you want to add to a playlist.
