How to update Account Settings and Preferences, including basic account info, email notification frequency, Two-Factor Authentication, and Agreements.

Every Panelist and Admin has an account on the site. Your account holds basic information like your name, email and password, profile photo, email notification preferences and the option to enable Two-Factor Authentication on your account.

To access your Account Settings, select your profile photo in the top-right corner of any page. A menu will appear showing your name and a button to your Account Settings page.

Participants can update their basic information as long as the account field is enabled in Settings: Account Settings.

Email Notifications can be updated in the Notifications section of your profile. Participants can update notifications that are not hidden in Site Settings > Email Notifications.

You can specify the frequency which you prefer to receive notifications:

  • Immediately (one email per notice as it happens)

  • Hourly (one email per hour)

  • Daily (one or more times per day)

  • Weekly (particular day and time of the week)

If you don’t want to receive notifications, you can set your preference to None.

The Security section has a Two-Factor Authentication option to add an extra layer of security to your account. By enabling this feature, you will be required to enter a one-time code after you login. The code is generated by an app on your phone or computer. We recommend using Authy, Google Authenticator, or 1Password.

Once the app is opened, you’ll need to complete two steps:

  1. Scan the generated barcode or enter the code manually

  2. Enter a six-digit code given by the app

Step 1 and Step 2 of enabling Two-Factor Authentication. The QR code and manual code are highlighted for Step 1 and the field to enter the code is highlighted for Step 2

The Agreement section lists all of the agreements encountered that you have given consent to.
